Replacement Slide Switch
Looking for a source to purchase a replacement slide switch for my 2007 Montana 3400 RL. Have to press it several times on occasion to get it to function.

If you remove the panel and look on the back of the switch, there will probably be a manufacturer name and part number, or at least switch rating info. And google will almost surely turn up sources for purchase. I just replaced the bedside light switches and the dining table light switch. Both switches only had the manufacturer name and basic switch rating info. But google almost immediately came up with sources for purchase of the identical switches even though the bedroom switch manufacturer was a company I had never heard of. Got replacements in the mail within 4 days standard shipping.

Just to confirm the problem. The switch does nothing at all until you press it several times. And it finally starts working. Correct?
As opposed to the common problem of pressing the switch, slides move a little, stop, release the switch, press the switch again, slides move a little, stop, and repeat until slides move all the way.

If in fact the switch is bad and it is not the self-resetting breaker, then it ain't gonna be easy. We were in Tucson when one went on a 2006 model. The BIG TIME MONTANA dealer at that time, he since went bankrupt, supposedly had everything for a Montana. Wrong!!! They were unable to find the part number of the switch nor any information on Keystones web site. It is an unusual switch (a special DPDT type). They did have one for a Monaco MH which was a tad larger. After spending some time filing the case of the switch, it fit into the existing hole. As I recall, it was pricey ($30??).
As your unit is a 2007 I would start with a good dealer and let them chase it. We were in a hurry and couldn't wait for Keystone to come through.

Found a switch at a local dealer that was supposed to be a replacement exact fit. Wrong. I had to use a Dremel tool and enlarge the switch plate by 1/16" on each length side. A little touch up paint on the side of the shaved edges and it looks stock. I did a lot of research for slide switches and the one from the dealer was exactly what I found on line. I suspect the newer Montana's use this switch. Works fine now.

I have replaced a few of them.....always found at a local rv parts store or on Amazon.......it was the standard slide-out switch with 4 wires.

I have the same problem on a 2016 HC 305RL, press switch, moves, stops, press again, moves and so on. Any suggestions?

Citrix43: this Thread is over 3 years old. Your problem is most likely a failing self-resetting circuit breaker which feeds the hydraulic pump. You can Search on "self resetting breaker" or such and you will find lots of discussion. The answer is - replace the CB.

My system is not Hydraulic, electric. Of course this still could be a circuit breaker issue. I was curious about your comment about the thread being over 3 years old.

I don't have nor know how the electric slides work wiring wise, But this is the classic sign of a weak CB.
The comment about this Topic being over 3 years old is due the previous update on 5/6/2016. Plus the Topic deals with a bad DPDT switch. You would probably be better off starting a new Thread addressing your specific problem.
