Plumbing nightmare - solved

Our 3725RL had a knife slice running across the water service Pex lines going to the kitchen sink. One started finally leaking. Obviously these lines were damaged while our unit was being assembled.

Still have over 5 months left on factory warranty, plus we purchased extended warranty....but....it was still easier to have our plumber stop by. He replaced the damaged Pex and installed two really high quality shut offs.

It was just easier to spend $100 to get the repair done professionally and immediately rather than make a future appointment at a "not-so-professional" dealer down the road, haul my unit down there, and wait around half a day. Even if they could have fixed it with one visit I am sure I would have had to pay a premium for the shut off valves.

I agree fully with that. I went out to home depot and bought the solid copper rings and the tool to compress them on metal pex fitting. But I have used the oedecker clamps that the factory uses on all my brewing equipment when i still had a house and never had a leak from them. And they are easier to use when doing fixes than the solid copper rings. John

I used Shark Bite fittings to put shut offs on all our water runs. Easy to do and has held over a lot of rough roads. I also carry a complete line of end caps, T's and shut offs to make emergency repairs.
