Your restaurant recommendations? - Ribs
Coopers Open Pit BBQ, Llano, TX is my very favorite. Meaty ribs and great sauce

I also like (a lot) the ribs at Texas Roadhouse. The bone pulls out of the rib cleanly. No meat on the bone.

Iron Works in Austin, TX. Real TX ribs with no sauce. Nothing fancy almost fast food, but great ribs.

Again, if in my area, Grand Prize, Texas City, TX
City Meat Market, Giddings, TX on Hwy 290 North bound side of town.
There is another one that begins with an "M" when heading West on I-10. I just can't remember the name. Big dirt lot for parking. Lot's of 18 wheelers stop there for lunch.

Much as I like my own ribs coated in a rib rub and slow cooked in a charcoal smoker with hickory and mesquite chips, I think the best I have ever had was at Wagner's Ribs on Wagner Road off US 12 in the small town of Porter, IN, east of Chicago, north of Valparaiso. Small place in an old house. Not much to look at, but great ribs.

Wish this thread was a few weeks ago. We spent a week in the Porter, IN area a few weeks ago and would have tried Wagner's if I had known, Bill.

We really like Sticky Fingers in Myrtle Beach.. I know they have them in other places but we have only tried them in MB.. Sonny's in Florida is close to us so we get them there also.

In Franklin, NC, go to Fat Buddy's. Fall off the bone. Also, in Keystone Heights, FL, try Johnny's.
