Microwave door latch repairs
Gotter done!
A 20 minute job, as I had nothing broke, just a lever not actuating another control. Don't slam the doors, they will last longer and break less often, shut and 'click', they are not made well enough to slam the door. 'Sides, you don't want people to call you a Doorslammer.... "Yea, the Doorslammers live over there, noisy folks."

Ozz
When opening the push latch push at the top and right in the center. If needed put a paint circle to remind you. Also did you lube where the two pieces touch and the pegs go through the tin? I assume you do not at this time need the part?

Yes, I was the lubemaster... No, thank you very much for the offer.
Yep! Triple time, plus travel charge, plus truck charge....no parts, but I can get $10.00 for truck stock. (Lube)

Ozz,
You are very clever and you help us all a lot. I wish I could do the things you do.

I think Carol can attest to what happens when the entry door is slammed too many times. They had a window drop down into the door because those plastic pegs on which it set broke.
Good info in this thread, guys. We have taken note about the microwave door. We are not door slammers but will be extra careful now. Thanks.

Yep, Steve is right again! Ole Carol can attest to what happens when you slam doors. SIGHHH
Besides the fact that the slamming tends to break things, now that we have stopped the slamming, it tends to annoy us when it happens.
Quiet and soft are better on your nerves AND your stuff.

Contact lynn at the 800 number on the Apollo instruction booklet. She will send out the part.

Ozz,
Great job on the slide show. Ours broke but Appalo sent the parts out at no charge, with instructions. I'm a little nervous about oiling an electric motor. It sure nice to have it working again.
Happy Trails,
Jerry
