There are work campers but you will have to go back to the archives.
(Click on the topic work camping and go back 120 days and you will find several postings.)
The posts don't stay out here very long unless they are active.

Joe and I have been work camping for about a year now - worked in Fort Worth Texas Jan thru March 2006 and we are now in Gold Beach Oregon at our 2nd work camper job. The owners want us to stay - I guess we are to reliable - we will probably stay.
We are at Turtle Rock RV Resort.

Saw a Montana drive thru the park yesterday guess they decided not to stay - don't know why this is a nice park.

We are at Bullhead City, AZ dealing Blackjack in a Laughlin casino for the winter. May 1st we will head up to Lake Tahoe where we do the same for the summer. We spend about 40 weeks a year dealing cards and the other three months traveling.

We live full time in our unit, and work 6 months a year in office jobs in our home town. Travel the months. We have been in our 3295 rk for 12 months, and winter (while working) in Nashville. We are very appreciative of the chance to both travel and balance the budget.

We are or should I say Walt is work camping here at the Fort Amargosa RV Park in Amargosa Valley Nevada. He takes care of 100 or so trees and plants and does security at night for free rent and electric. Now me I just sit and make afghans to sell in the store.LOL. We have been full timing in the Montana sense 2003 and love every minute of it.

We spent last summer working at the West Hill Dam Park in Uxbridge, Ma. It was the first we had tried it and liked it so well that we are going back up there the end of May thru the summer. It is strickly a day park with no campers. That is fine with us. Most of the people that come there are locals and it is good to talk to them about that area. This photo is of our campsight that we share with another couple. We enjoyed the experience. Not only that, but we had a good group of Rangers to work with.

Just getting started Workamping. This last summer I worked for the Santa Fe National Forest in NM and hope to work in Washington next summer. Carolyn was not able to go with me this last summer but she should be retired this spring and we will be fulltimers after that. I hope to work the spring and summer months and keep the fall and winter free for traveling. I was just offered a position until Feb in Montana but can't get away right now with getting the house ready to sell and the transition to full time. Usally I take positions as an Archaeologist, preferable with the National Forests but some times I have to do other jobs.

Skip works in the RGV, at Bensten Palm Village RV Resort in Mission, TX. This is our 2nd year. I just play and have fun, and volunteer in the park.

We work at our church camp on Samish Island, WA in the summer as asst caretakers. Bob mows lawns, weeds flower beds and anything else they think of. Myrna works 2 days a week at a pediatric clinic in Bellingham.(for diesel money). It sure helps the budget and allows us to travel in the spring and fall.

John and Judy are workamping at Big Chief RV Resort on Lake Buchanan in Burnet TX. It is a beautiful resort and we love it. We spend the summers near Capital Reef National Park in South Central UT. We have spent 4 summer seasons as Camp Hosts at the National Park. Next summer we will workamp at Thousand Lakes RV in Torrey, UT near Capital Reef. We have been full-timing for 6 years and love it. Not hard at all to sell our big home and hit the road.

Wendi & Phil, we are also down here in Yuma, but in the foothills. What space are you in at the market? We'd love to stop by and meet you and say hi!

We were at the southern Oregon coast this weekend and visted with Joe and Laura at Turtle Rock RV Resort in Gold Beach on Saturday. They had not met anyone from the MOC before. Two strangers showed up at their door and they could not have been nicer. Hope we get to visit with them again!

Kaye and Erwin, have a great time at the Escapees Care Center. I'm sure you'll find the experience very rewarding. And I bet there's someone with whom to play dominoes!

I volunteer at the St. Joseph Bay State Buffer Preserve near Port St. Joe, Florida (in Florida panhandle), doing mostly construction work for them. Keeps me busy and mostly out of trouble.

Any MOC'ers passing through make sure to stop by and give me a shout. If coffee's not on, it will be in short order. Or sweet iced tea (a southern delicacy) if you prefer.
