refrigerator problem

Hello. I have a 2007 Montana 3400RL. I am having trouble with my refrigerator. When on battery/gas, it will startup and run. However, it randomly turns off and goes in to "check" mode. I can then turn it off and turn it back on and it will work again. It might work for 30 minutes it might work for an hour. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this?

When it goes into check mode, have you checked to see if you have propane pressure to the stove? If you have propane pressure problems like many of us have experienced, that could be your culprit. Just a thought.

Good question... Yes, when I have this problem, I can immediately light the stove and all is good.

If it works on AC with no problems, I think what I would do is make a call to Dometic and talk to a tech. May be just an igniter adjustment (if that is even possible?) Possibly someone here may have a solution too. Good Luck

I suggest you check your house batteries. When the batteries are low and cannot supply sufficient voltage to the control board, Dometic refrigerators will go into check mode.

If this is happening when hooked to shore power, it might be your converter. Do your lights dim when the refrigerator goes into check mode?
