But....but it is June

It is to snow tonight or tomorrow here in Wapiti. The campground owners moved here from Florida in February. Her comment was, "It is really different." They came in a Discover MH outfitted for Florida and had to do a lot of improvising to stay warm and their water flowing. Very interesting people to converse with.

Stiles, after all of the tornado drills you went through in Grain Valley, a mid-summer snow storm should be almost welcomed. Saw on the news where the Northwest (Snoqualamie, Wa) was buried yesterday! Keep it warm, keep it dry. I didn't pay attention to your slides, do they have toppers? Bob & Karen

Yeah, it is June here in Texas and the temps have been running 10+ ABOVE normal, mid to upper 90's with high humidity pushing the heat index over 100 some days. Morning lows have been 80 or higher. Numerous records already set.
Leaving for Colorado Saturday and looking forward to some cooler weather.

Well, it really did snow. It didn't stick because it was about 36 deg. out. It was certainly more fun than the tornado drills of Missouri and Nebraska. I called my son in North Carolina and my daughter in Houston. Both are experiencing 90-100 degree weather, so I rubbed in in a bit. Guess I was born mean and had a relapse. After five days of steady traveling, It is nice to just relax and acclimate to the altitude. We low landers have to do that. We have lived most of our lives near sea level.

No, I chose not to have toppers. In this Wyoming wind, I am glad I don't have the popping. The medium to heavy winds have been constant since our arrival.

Stiles, We arrived in Island Park today with 31 degree weather and showing. My goal when I left Alaska was to never see the white stuff again, at least while travelling. We will be here until Jun 18th then move on to the east side, Cody for another week. If you're here then maybe we can do coffee. give me a call 916-710-1974..

Phil, where are you staying at Island Park? There is a great RV park near there. Red Rock RV park located about 5 miles off the highway. Nothing but mountains all around and a great trout lake about 1/2 mile away. About 17 mile from West entrance to Yellowstone.
