Update on big leak

Just got a call from the dealer the hot water tank has a crack along the seam. The dealer has a new unit in stock and is going to replace it and send the old one in to see if the manufacture will cover it under the 2 year warranty, or if my extended warranty will cover it, OR if my home owners insurance will cover it, glad I have a lot of coverage! Beaudry in Tucson has come through again it took 2 weeks to get an appointment but once in it went really quick, it will be a lot easier getting an appointment after the snow birds start heading back north for the summer of course there will be no need for another appointment then.

Great news on the fix.I wonder if this is something unusually and just a fluke.I`ve never heard of the tank cracking.Well anyway your getting a new tank and your problem is sloved-so thats a good thing.

We just had our hot water heater replaced after a yr and a half (we are fulltime) Ours was all rusty on the bottom and the RV tech said it looked to him like it had a broken weld. It took him 2 hrs to take the old tank out and put the new one in, because of the way he had to get to the fittings on the inside. A rough cut hole big enough for his fist, he ended up cutting a bigger hole in the paneling. I just discovered last night, the bottom of the compartment ( shelf) is screwed down so acess would have been a lot easier. Ha! Live and learn!
