While gathering parts for my Montana backup lights, I came across these and had to have. These are auxiliary backup lights that mount to the receiver hitch (no drilling). Navigator by Pilot NV-803.
The lights are 55 watt Halogens with a wide angle lens. They mount to the hitch bar and are located below the belly of the Montana, so they shine below the Montana towards the back. I've tilted them about 30 degrees out from straight back, lighting the area to the sides.

They mount to the hitchbar with heavy nylon straps. I was skeptical at first but they are quite stout.

I didn't want the draw on my backup light circuit, so I installed a relay mounted near the frame. The backup light circuit (green on black) activates the relay, and I drew power for the lights from the 30A trailer charging line running back to the hitch receptacle (orange). The light kit has it's own 10A fuse which I kept in the power wire.

If I had the Ford uplifter switches, they would make a good control for these in lieu of the backup light circuit, but I didn't get them. Got the chance to try them tonight while parking the boat. I backed up and connected to the Montana and they shined nearly to the back and lit up the sides well with some shadowing from the Montana wheels.
