full timing it
Well after many years myself and the wife are off on our USA trip. Started June first went to Mass, now a couple stops in PA then Maryland and West Virginia. That will take us to end of July. Think i want to go to Louisville to go thru some caves and zip lines. Thinking then to Illinois to see family then on to SD to see mount Rushmore. Want to do alot of fishing especially for Steelhead. Thought id put this out here so any information will be great. Looking forward to talking to you all

If you treat fulltiming like vacation or summer trips, you won't last long unless you have extremely deep pockets. Think about staying long enough in an area to get a break on park rates. We winter in florida for six months, then go for the other six months...but we try to stay for a month in an area. Sometimes, it is only a week. This is not counting the point a to point b travel. Hope you figure out how to space it out so that you don't burn out on travel. John

Welcome to the lifestyle. You'll find as many ways to do this as there are people doing it. We cut costs by volunteering for Fish and Wildlife occasionally.

After July we have no family obligations so i will try and stay at places longer. I can see where staying short times at a destination will get stressful.

Full timed for six years. Loved it. Often wish we had not built our lake house and come off the road. Still do six months in Florida each winter

You will soon tire of "vacation mode" and settle down to a more "normal" style . Are you REALLY full time or do you have a storage space somewhere? We will have 6 years of REAL full timing this coming September 1. No current plans to stop as we are loving the lifestyle.

Congrats! We sold our home and traveled full time for only 3 years, but loved every minute of it. We did have a "home base" area in Florida we camped at during the winter months but other than that we traveled at least 3 or 4 months each year. Maybe we weren't REALLY full time but only on VACATION, because we had a storage shed with my tools and we blasted through 26 states. Whatever we were, we sure experienced a lot and had fun and you guys will too!!!!

So I don't know if what we do would be considered full-timing or not to most be we like the sound of it much better then straight up living in it haha.
I am military, and my wife and I have been living in ours full time for 7 years the last year with TWO kids! We maybe odd as we fell in love with the life style in our early 20's but to date we wouldn't trade it!
If you truly enjoy the RV lifestyle I don't see how you could ever be disappointed!

Wes, I see in your signature you are from, or have lived in Las Cruces? Are you, or have you ever been stationed at WSMS? Just curious, I was stationed there for my last year in 1973.

High new to rv and we just decided to go full time both my wife both work I'm about ready to retire we have a 39 ft montana 2016 3711 fl we love it just some small problems tried to get it take care of it the camping world where i bought it and found out i know more about my rv than they do well just one thing i can't get answer is the rv is level wheels are lock but when I'm setting in the tv i feel my wife moving around and i would like to know how to fix that will stabilizes help i have 6 slide out and help would be great thanks

You need to do like we do "get used to it" I know of no way to stop the movement completely. We live in ours 7 to 8 months a year and it's to the point where we just don't mind it any more.

Wes, are you in the Navy? We are also a military (Army) family that just started full timing (definitely sounds better lol). We decided take an extended "camping" trip while we were house hunting. We ran into a bunch of families at the campground and our house became a new high country!
