Upper cabinet door
Has anyone come up with an idea to keep the upper cabinet door over the microwave open? It opens up and down as opposed to side to side, and I have to hold it open with one hand while I rummage around for stuff in the cabinet. It would be nice to have both hands free.
We went to Home Depot and bought something to keep it open, but this item would not work out very well, so I will return it. It looked like those gas struts you have to keep the bed up. I saw a hinge in an IKEA ad which does this, but DH isn't sure that's the answer. I told him I would ask the group.

Did the same thing except with a gas strut. Works great. The strut uses a ball and socket pivot on one end.

I did the same thing on mine plus on the doors over the computer desk. Takes a little adjustment when installing to get them just right, but works great.

Struts for cabinet doors
My previous RV (Keystone Laredo 330RL travel trailer) had many cabinet doors that opened up - and Keystone chose not to put these $3 struts in at the factory. We were in Port Aransas July 4 2017 and I got fed up with it and put one one every cabinet door.

Thanks for the info. We don't have Camping World near us, so we will wait until we go to Florida this winter and buy those struts.
