Condensation in Closet

I have the 344 RET which has the big closet in the nose of the fifth wheel. While camping this weekend, we noticed condensation on the nose wall which was dripping off the wall at the seam. The temperatures were between 35-45 for the weekend, and we were running the furnace to keep the camper at 70 degrees. (first time we've had the opportunity to check the furnace since we got the camper) Anyone have a condensation problem or know of anyone that has and what was the fix if any. This thing is headed back to the dealer next week for other warranty problems, but now this will be added to the list.

Crack the closet doors open a little on both ends. Make sure you don't have too much "stuff" in the closet for circulation. Also, it's a good idea to have a vent open.

We have never had this problem, but always keep a Damp-Rid hanging bag in the nose closet. Can purchse these at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. Usually found in the paint section along with the normal Damp-Rid containers. You hang this in the closet for 60 - 90 days and the plastic bag fills with moisture that might otherwise be in the closet. We are amazed when we are in humid places as the bag fills much more rapidly then. This may be worth a try to solve your problem.

Get yourself a dehumidifier - and soon.
It will make the inside feel warmer - because the air is drier and you will be getting that extra moisture out of the interior.

We got one last winter and it has already made a huge difference - we empty it every other day or so.

I've never noticed this in the closet, but have had condensation show on the interior windows during colder months. For the heck of it, I put a damp-rid in the closet -- and was very surprise how much moisture collected there.

For me, a de-humidifier would make the air more dry than my body can handle -- especially my nose & lungs.

Sure does depend on where you are..here in Northern, Ohio in the winter time (like now) we have the April Air Humidifier built into the heating system. Without it your tongue will stick to the roof of your mouth overnight.

Ok, all fixed, condesation gone. Service rep at the dealer looked at pics and made the comment, "don't look right". Said they'd have to take the cap off. They've seen it before where the insulation up top wasn't attached too good and drops down or insulation left out completely or falling down in the bottom. (as was our case) Keystone wanted to see the pics before they would authorize anything. Pics were emailed to them and within two hours, dealer had authorization to pull the cap and fix the problem. After having that fixed along with a new roof (tree + windstorm = damage), we're back in business. (well, back in storage actually)

I have noticed condensation on the water closet wall, temperature difference due to no heat in that area. Also happens when a drastic temp. change from outside to inside temp. Will disappear when heat is on and door is opened to bathroom. Also we keep the ceiling fan on low at times to keep air circulating.
