2015 Montana HC 305RL kitchen lights

Located over the kitchen island are 2 drop down light fixtures with 1076 bulbs. They consistently burn out, usually not at the same times. Any thoughts as to what is causing this to occur and a possible fix to the problem. The fixtures are mounted to the ceiling by two screws. When the work, they are brite and never dim during use and have not gone out while in use. Thanks.

I'm not sure when they stopped using the drop down lights in the kitchen on this model...ours doesn't have them. All I can think of is that it's the bulbs. It's kind of a reach since these are automotive bulbs but perhaps they aren't up to the jostling of travel that occurs in those fixtures since they hang down and likely move a lot while towing. Are you using LED bulbs? If not you might give that a try

Try replacing with the same bulb in an LED. It should fix your problem.

The pendant lights on mine used to burn out just like what you are experiencing. I got tired of trying to replace the wedge base automotive bulbs and converted my light fixtures to use a bayonet base bulb instead. Then I put in decent led bulbs and life has been good since.

Look here at LEDs:https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...rofit-car/512/

This has been my 'go to' for automotive LED replacements for incandescents. Here's a good cross reference too:http://www.m4products.com/identify-bulbs-bases/

A note on those pendant fixtures - make sure the through bolt at the ceiling is snug. On ours one came out and the fixture swung and gouged the slide trim (and we still have the original bulbs installed in 2014 in our 2014 343RL - and have now jinxed myself)

Just go ahead and get the replacements on order
