New Big Sky
Just came back from dealer and had a walk through in the new Big Sky. This is a serious 5er. Very nice and the full paint was the bomb.

If you're buying, better do a VERY thorough PDI.

I am looking at the Big Sky 382rl tomorrow but Me and my wife just gotta have a residential frig for that price and my wife was hoping they come out with a RE layout as well ,we are hoping Keystone will make the Res Frig a option soon as well with the rest of Montana line but you never know it may be so dang nice and a good deal we will make a exception with the fridg

Just looked at one today and I gotta say I was not all that impressed, yeah it is pretty but did not seem any bigger inside with the 100in frame than any other Montana we looked at ,bathroom not very big and still 7K axles,No residential fridg, Nope would rather buy some other upper end RV or just stick with a regular Montana and save the Cash ,IMO they gotta do better than that for 90K

We just bought one and I have to say - we ARE impressed. We loved the Montana, but are really happy with the new Big Sky. Doe the extra 4" make a difference? Can't really answer that since we went with a different floor plan, but I do know this thing is roomy! These full-timers are quite happy.

We have the 2013 Big Sky. We would not trade up to the new 2015 unless it had The residential fridge and the Mr Ryde IS suspension. We did note the wide body room in the 2015. The paint scheme on the 2015 IMO is very nice. I just would not pay @ 20K more for the 2015 over our 2013 Big sky without the above mentioned enhancements. We just added the Mor Ryde IS to this 2013 Big sky and when the Nor Cold fails we will go to a residential fridge. We can add those enhancement to the 2013 for a lot less that @ 20K including the dishwasher.
There will be a market for the 2015 Big Sky.

Residential refrigerator is like what you would find in your home. 110 only, no propane so you'll need an inverter to supply power from you batteries. Many motor homes come with this option.
There are pros and cons

AND they are bigger 12cufeet for the regular 4 door Norcold/Dometic compared to 18Cu feet for the residential and they all come with inverters so they will run on 110V while traveling down the road BUT if you boondock alot having a Residential sucks up the batteries real quick another good thing about them is if they go bad they are ALOT cheaper to replace, for Us fulltimers the bigger frig is really cool

Thanks guys. I don't think that is something I would like, we plan to do a fair amount of boondocking after I retire.
I do wish Mor Ryde IS System was an option as Rich said.

John, I had a 540W solar sys on my M/H. I was usually up by noon when we dry camped. I would think your system would be fine to run a residential frig.
I had a U-line ice maker and it was on 100% of the time we were in the M/H. We were in a water/sewer site once and found we could run the Splendede off the inverter, just had to hang out to dry or run the gen set for 40 minutes.

We looked at a SOB that had a 18 cu ft, res. I asked, what if it fails, and components could not fix it, and it had to be replaced. They told me, slide had to be removed. There goes your "cheaper" replacement. It wasn't even close to fitting, through the door, some smaller ones will, I am sure.

I would think a res would last a lot longer and be more trouble free. Never had a res refrig that failed. Are there certain brands and models that will fit? How about modifying cabinets so it would fit? We definately wish we had a bigger refrig as we only have the single door that came with the 2010 3000RK. The 2011 came with side by side. Oh well!
