That's just it, I don't know or have never seen anybody leave a hose connected to a tank flush. Course I reckon if you're a snowbird staying in a park and have access to a second city water tap you might do so. But even so the tap to the city water supply would be closed and there would be no way it could backflush into the city supply. If you never do that and only connect up when you go to flush the tank why not just eliminate the valve all together? It just seems like this was just a lot of overthinking by some engineer or design person.

I had the same problem about a year ago on my 2007 3000RK. I located the valve but had to cut another access hole to reach it. I found that it had a crack in the threads on the inlet side. Ordered a replacement and it leaked at a different place. The manufacturer sent me another but at that point I had lost all confidence in the valve so I replaced it with an elbow. I don't leave the flush hose connected so I'm not concerned about backflow.

Dave, It is in the wall behind the shower. On mine there is a plastic panel cover behind the second shelf from the top in the closet to your right as you enter the 5'er. The panel cover has a hole behind it to line up with the back of the shower faucet. The check valve is a few inches below the faucet. Use the same procedure Sreigel outlined for making the hole bigger. Jim

I am having the same problem as Avofarmer is having. I can hear a lot of racket but it don't seem like a lot of water reaches the tank. When I close the tank valve it takes a loooong time for it to get any water in it. So surely it don't get enough water to do it's intended job of flushing out the tank. I still do not understand the purpose of a backflow valve. Doesn't that line "only" go to the tank sprayer. If so the only reason for a backflow preventer must be to keep the tank contents from running out the connection for the hose. If the hose connection is higher then the tank then it should not backflow out of the tank. If that is the case what is wrong with eliminating the valve altogether. On my last SOB I'm not even sure that the tank flush had a backflow valve. When I ran the flusher on it you could really hear it working and if you closed the tank valve it would fill up quickly. If the tank flush line is hooked to the rest of the water lines, what purpose does it serve. I am confused here.....
Oh and Jim, on the 06 3000RK is it in the wall with the shower and the little coat closet??? And with the pocket door how did you get to it???
