Just wanted to introduce myself and my wife. We have decided on the rv we want and it will be early spring when we purchase. Right now we have a fond attachment on the 3685FL and I have my eye on a Chevy 3500 diesel dully with the allison transmission. My name is Don and my wife is Carol Goeke. We use the nicknames of Puz & Muz Pigpens. We would appreciate any help in the purchase of the new equipment as I have already gone through 2 motorhomes and this time we are going to the 5th wheel.

We just got the 3685FL and really love the lay out. We hope to take our shake down trip July 4th weekend. Retirement is just around the corner, so we will be doing more traveling. After having motorhomes for years this will be a new experience.

Welcom Puzzie,
Glad to hear from you. You have joined a great group with lots of good info, advice, and help. We have a Chevy 3500 and just love it. It is a great tow vehicle.

Welcome Aboard! We have the '03 FL, the 3655, and love it. Full timing for a year now. The FL is a very "livable" unit.

One FL-specific problem is clothes falling off the hanger bars in the bedroom while towing, due to the location of the closets at the rear area and the normal road vibrations being amplified back there.. Check the Forum "search" function for a few easy solutions. Also, as full timers, we have more than a couple of weeks of clothes, and had to add extra support for the clothing hanger bars. Very simple and easy do.

Enjoy your travels,

Welcome Don & Carol. We too previously owned motorhomes (several years ago) and have switched to a fiver. Know you will be happy with your decision. Good luck. Glad to see you posting.

We once had a rear closet across the back in a fifthwheel and found putting the hangers in backwards solved the clothes on the floor problem.

Ron & Vic the story behind the nicknames is that my wife's mother was called muzzie by her father and when I found out I told her she would be muzzie and she told me that if she was going to be the muzzie then I would be puzzie and that is all their is to the story. Pigpens is a nickname given to me by a friend from a 4 wheel drive club and it was given to me as I could always find dirt like pigpens in the comic strip. So now we are known as Puz & Muz Pigpens.
