80mph Winds today in CO

Supposed to have 80mph winds in the foothills today in Colorado - that probably means New Mexico and Wyoming as well.

Y'all be careful out there.

I guess 80 mph was just the steady wind - Boulder County reported 101 mph gusts!

That's a paint strippin, roof rippen, Monty throwin gust! When I lived in Boulder County I remember the biggest hazard was the traffic lights breaking away and landing on your car

Hope all the travelers got tied down somewhere.

Well for sure they don't let the kids out for recess when it's blowing like that. When we lived in Boulder, the wind blew so hard one day that it actually flattened a house several blocks away. Traffic lights were a real danger, as were flying trash cans which tend to do a serious number on anything they hit at 70 mph plus. The first time that a chinook hit the side of our house, we checked to see if a truck had run off the road.

As Montana Sky said we had sun and 50 degrees today. It was first sunshine we had in a couple of months.

I even went out and tried to finish installing my JT Stabilizers. I need to add a cross member for the rear stabilizers. Needless to say I didn't finish. Tomorrow is suppose to be another sunny day and then back to rain. Is it Summer yet?
