We also have a two burner induction cooktop that DW loves. I don't see us ever using the gas burner cooktop ever again. Stores easily in the small closet in the bedroom for travel. On another note, our Apollo Convection/Microwave is dying. What is a NuWave Oven? Better than Apollo (our current unit is 11 years old)?

I have it at home. If you want to know if your pan will work, just use a magnet. If it sticks it will work. I went to Walmart to buy a pan. They didn't say if they would work on induction, so I got a refrigerator magnet that they sell and tried it. It stuck so I bought it and it works.

Then cast iron will work and a skillet made of 303 stainless won't work because 3 series stainless won't stick to a magnet.
Is this correct? I thought any stainless steel would work but nothing else. Help me here.

Real Stainless Steel is non-magnetic and won't work with induction unless the stainless steel has a magnetic section on the bottom. Some stainless steel will work because of the percentage of other material mixed in. Same goes for Aluminum pans.

All 4 series stainless is magnetic, 420, 440, 416. We use a lot of 420, 440 is used for knife blades, 416 is used for gun barrels. They will all rust some. The 3 series, 303, 304, 316 won't rust and won't stick to a magnet. I listed a few there are many others of both types and other types, the 5 and 7 series.

We really didn't know much about induction stove tops until we recently took delivery of our SOB MH. I suspect as more and more RV of all price points continue to go to all electric you will start seeing these instead of propane.

In ours it is a simple 2 burner combination and extremely light weight and thin. It lifts out and unplugs from a regular electrical outlet underneath the cabinet and it made to carry outside for use. Since our coach is all electric we love the fact they put this in instead of a regular electric range top.

Of course the DW's favorite set of pans went into storage but she found the perfect small set for under $100 on sale.

We have a NuWave induction burner and we use it all the time. I only use the gas stove if I'm heating or cooking a stock pot full of pasta, soup, etc. Wish I had an induction cooktop in my 2017 3661 RL. The kitchen would be perfect!
