Metal Valve Stems?

I've searched all over the internet and can't seem to find out what size the valve stem hole is on either the Montana or my Ford aluminum rims. The valves are available for either .453" or .625" rim holes.

Anyone here that has ordered and installed know which diameter is correct?

Also, if anyone has, what is the best length for installing TPMS sensors? I was thinking of 1 1/4 or 1 1/8. Are those long enough?

Thanks,

Greg

I just had all my stems changed to metal stems and the tire dealer said I needed the smaller .453" in Tredit wheels on an `09 Montanna.

Thank you Jack. Do you have a TPMS or did you have them put on for the G614s?

I purchased some for the tires at Auto Zone, but Advance also have them. I know NAPA have them also.
If you do not have these in your area any auto parts should have them.

Greg, I have the metal stems on both trailer and TV. Sorry I can't remember the sizes, but it depends on whether you have hub caps on the truck or not and which TPMS you plan on installing. I have the Pressure Pro and had to get longer stems for the truck.

Check Lonnie B's post on the subject. He's answered the question many times before.
Here's the one you will most likely need to use. I have them on my 250 and Monty

Will have a TPMS in the spring. Not sure of brand, but most people seem to go with Pressure Pro And TST. I put G-614`s on.
