New 3120 RL Home Safe

First thank you Camping World in Harrisburg PA. They could not of been more helpful with this process. They even moved our 5ver inside so we could inspect it top to bottom. Thank you MOC for our checklist! First CW gave us a walk around and we video taped all the different switches and settings. (it is a lot to retain). Then they said take your time to inspect and ask any and all questions. Then they left us for hours and would wonder by and ask to assist. We went step by step to test and learn every part of our new 3120 RL. The only thing that didn't work was a receptacle and it was remedied by resetting the ground fault circuit and a loose pocket door and they had someone tighten the roller wheels. Both times they took the time to explain what they did to fix the issue. Then we hitched it up and towed for our first time ever and wow you can tell its behind you. After about an hour we pulled off into a rest area and took a short break. When starting to drive again it was like this isn't too bad, we got this. Made it home safe, neighbors helped with the back in process. (i need to practice and we have 20 orange cones to assist) unhitched and put her to sleep. Cant wait to go through it again in day light hours tomorrow. Thank you all for all the advice and help.

Congratulations on your new unit and a successful PDI. Getting used to towing it will become second nature. It certainly doesn't hurt to have a check list for set up for camping or storage and take down for travel.

I know what I forgot to mention: did you get adapters for electric from 50-30 and 30-20? Going to the 20 allows you to plug it into the house and possible run furnace or one A/C

Sounds great! Glad to hear all went well. Our 3121RL has been our driveway for a week now. We have spent many hours just sitting in it and looking forward to being able to take a trip.

2018 3120 ... had this rig one month now and loving it more and more. Question ... as you step into the rig, directly in front of you are two switches. One controls the light above the sink, no one can tell me what the other switch is for. Any ideas?

As you get more used to towing the trailer you will be going down the road and you won't even notice its their. Probably you'll get one of those moments when you think "is the trailer still behind me" and quickly check your mirror...lol

Congrats, nothing compares to the feeling of a new rig, we've been at it for 18yrs now, still get excited for every trip, even weekend camping is a mini vacation, Enjoy!

haven't purchased any adapters yet.. It is parked and battery turned off. I guess its in hibernation until end of March.

When I did look in the rearview mirror I had an oh chit moment that I was being tailgated. this happened multiple times during yesterday.

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement! We are truly excited. Today we hooked it up again and repositioned it on the parking pad took notes, and created a checklist for setup. lots of smiles and nerves but really big smiles

If you are not hooked to shore power, you will need to dis-connect the battery. The switch will not isolate all 12 volt circuits and the battery will drain in a couple of weeks. JT.

Just reflecting on the logic of putting the pantry light switch at the entry. Just another piece of circumstantial evidence that the designers of these rigs have never actually USED one.

Had mine now for 9 months. Found a few small issues but love it even more than when we bought it.

I second the thought of disconnecting the batteries. (You could install another disconnect right at to battery to positively disconnect them). There are some items that are wired directly to the battery such as propane/co2 sensors. Since it is at your house, simply leave it plugged in to a receptacle near the house. ( hence the mention of adapters previously)

Make sure you check the battery water at least once a month and only add distilled water as needed.
