My Pressure Pro alarm went off on the NY Thruway, recently. Scared the heck outa me! Monitor said "00" for RR trailer tire. I was onto the shoulder very quickly!!! Turned out to be a loose sensor getting no pressure reading. Tire was OK. Screwed her back down tightly and all was well. It works!

I am 90% happy with my system. I have had to replace several sensors and presently have one that "JUST QUIT". Was working one day and the next it would not work. Tried to reset it and no luck. Need to get a hold of Pat and Mike and order some extras, I guess, at $50.00 a pop they aint cheap.

Hi Phil,
Sorry to hear you are having problems with your PressurePro. We have hundreds of customers and very few problems. You said you had to replace several sensors. I would really like to know what happened and why you had to replace them.
Please give us a call. My number is 850-294-0281. You will need to be close to your Monitor and Rig so we can do a little troubleshooting. I'll be waiting to hear from you.
Safe Travels,
Pat

This question is in regards to using metal valve stems. I checked mine today and they appear to have a metal shaft but with a rubber outer shell at the bottom. The stem is very rigid due to the steel shaft but there is still play relative to the tire rim. These appear to be between fully rubber and fully metal. My Tundra has fully metal so I know the difference. Has anyone had any success with these in betweeners with a pressure pro system?

We put teflon on our metal valve stems. It was a problem before we started doing this. Sometimes it takes a couple of applications but I'm sure that is your problem Phil. We haven't lost a # for a long time and never replaced a sensor.

Helen, Are you talking Teflon Tape around the threads? This sensor has been working all along and just quit one day, not sure why Teflon tape would have anything to do with it.
Pat, I will call you tomorrow when we can troubleshoot.

Phil, we'll be in Church until 10:30 am MT. You can call me anytime after that.
Ron, we have had the "metal over rubber" valve stems on our Honda CRV for a couple of years. They seem to be working fine with the PP Sensors. If you have any other questions, give me a call.
Thanks.........Pat

Pat, I switched sensors with another tire and it appears the valve stem extender on the one tire is mucking things up. I am having tires replaced Monday and will try and get longer valve stems without having to use an extender.

That's one of the reasons we don't recommend using extenders unless it is absolutely necessary. They can cause a lot of problems. If you have to use them, make sure they are good, quality extenders. Let me know if you have any questions.
