When was MorRyde first offered on Montana?
I have some questions from you experts.
What year was MorRyde first offered and was it an option or across the board?
Are disc brakes a relatively easy add-on with the MorRyde?
Anybody had experience with both the MorRyde offered by Montana and the fully independent version?
I am contemplating an upgrade but I currently have the fully independent version with 7,000 pound axles and disc brakes. I love the set-up but it was pricey and I really don't want to buy it again

David,
I know it was 2006, but may have been as early as 2005. It was never an option, rather Keystone just converted to the Mor-Ryde LE (shockless) version on all models at once.
Assuming you are thinking of trading in your 2002?
I'm am not positive, but I believe a disc brake conversion would be the same on a Mor-Ryde system as it would on standard suspension. There is nothing that would get in the way of the calipers or hose lines. Biggest hassle there is adding the electro/hydraulic system somewhere, as you already know.
I've never towed with an independent system, but I do like my Mor-Ryde over the standard suspension. The only big difference I notice is the axle travel is much greater and the trailer tends to rock much further to the side than the old one when maneuvering through a gutter or dip in the road at an intersection.

Don't know when it was introduced to the Montana, but our Cambridge build in Sept 2005 came standard with the Mor/Ryde pin box and Mor/Ryde suspension. I highly recomend the set up and along with Disk Brakes with the large Montana's. We had the Disk Brakes installed by Mor/Ryde in Elkhart Ind took about 7 hours. Once you have them on a 5th wheel you will never go back to drum brakes. GBY....

Montana started putting on Mor/ryde suspensions as standard equipment somewhere in the month of 11/2006.

Are you talking about the standard MOR/ryde suspension or the Individual Suspension. I had the Individual Suspension installed on our rig in September 2003. At that time, MOR/ryde was "talking about" Keystone installing the standard MOR/ryde suspension on the newer rigs. Didn't say what year.

In Nov of 05 we were going to order a 3670 and were advised that not only were the 3670's going to be discontinued but the Montana's were coming out with new color graphics, front cap, docking station and Mor Ryde suspension. We waited and ordered a 3400 in Feb of 06, which was built in April of 06 and delivered in May of 06. We later saw 3670 that had a 05 build date with Mor Ryde suspension but not the front cap or docking station.

I have an 07 with it and would gladly trade it back for the shocks. The mor-ryde bounces the kitchen too much. My travel trailer twin to the 5th wheel never had a glass break in the cabinet. I have had two break on two different trips in the 5th wheel with the Mor-ryde. The difference between the two is unbelievable. It all comes down to personal preference I guess.

My 06 was built in july of 05 and doesnot have mor-ryde. Shortly there after they all came with it standard I wish I would have held off a little while in getting mine.

I add a 5th airborne which helped, but have also thought about the shocks. What year 3000rk do you have, did you do the shocks yourself and do you have a part number? One pair or two pair?
Thanks
Mark

Mine was built in March 06 and bought it in Yuma of March 07, got a good deal and my wife liked out kitchen layout. I have 5200# axles. You need to call Moryde for the shocks, four and brackets. The lower shock plates have to come from
Dexter 1-574-293-1581
Part # 012-55-00, $67.44 tie plates need four of these. Order desk should ask for what axles on unit.
Morryde 1-866990-7433
four shocks gas #555001 184.36
four mounts #530258
eight fastners $214.21
I would have both Dexter and Morryde double check part numbers as u may have different axles like 6000# Dexter did supply picture of how to mount, but I could only get about 35 degrees due to slideout rod. whic was the same a friend 2005 Everest. The difference is dramatic in ride and handling. If I can assist just call

OPPS I goofed delete the 184.36price. parts were 67.44 plus the 214.21, labour cost me $250. I would drop belly pan and save fab shop having to do this.
