Roof balooning
I have seen 2 Montanas and one sob while traveling from Nevada to DC. The roofs after the front cap lifted a lot while traveling on the freeway. Anyone else see this?

Have seen a couple of times. Air getting under the roof membrane, front cap loose, bad cap caulk, or a front tear can cause. If not fixed, more and more of the rubber membrane will separate from the roof.

Yep, several times sadly. People just don't look up there or have someone do it for them. John

I'm sure this would be a fight between the membrane manufacturer and keystone. 12 year warranty against bad install... I think keystone would be held liable. A roof can rip, or tear , but NEVER just come off...

When you think about it, the curved roof of a high profile 5er is some what like the top surface of an airplane wing. Air traveling over that curve would cause a low pressure area and lift. That constant lift would be tugging at the membrane, and if loose anywhere, would eventually cause that loose area to expand. Probably a lot of them on the road and the owners never know. Don't know if there would be tell tale signs of it if you walked on the roof or not.
But hey, that lift should make the trailer lighter while towing shouldn't it?
