Water in Shower Door Tracks
We have a 3402RL and really enjoy it. The one problem we have is there is always water sitting in the shower door tracks. There are drain holes but all the water doesn't drain. Any tricks to keep the tracks dry? Thanks Marty

I assume you have a 2013 or 2014. The tracks on ours was the same in the new unit. I used a drill and new metal drill bit and drilled them out from the inside, allowing the water to drain. The track is soft aluminum so don't go crazy and drill out too much. I knew if I didn't do something it would build up soap scum and drive us nuts trying to keep it clean.

We have the 3582 and we got a nice fabric shower curtain w/ bronze rod. Mounted it behind the top rail of the glass slider. Could have drilled out the rails also but we hate the calcium buildup on the doors. Even with the squeegee it gets bad after while.

My wife complains about the same thing. The shower curtain might be the answer. She has been wiping out the grooves which takes awhile.

A file or Dremel tool on the drain holes will work.

Hi Joe, Did you just make the existing drain holes bigger or make new ones?

Did the shower curtain thing. Worked out well and looks great. Thanks for the mod.

Scott, I just drilled right in the middle of the existing slots, pushing down and drilling on a slow speed. I was able to cut a low groove just in the bottom of the existing slots that way.
