I always mount my regulator at the campsite faucet. That way no stress on any of my parts.

I'm with LarryP. Right at the faucet then everything gets regulated and has not too much pressure. I see my typo. I run at about 48 PSI (not 43).

I hook up my hose and then the hose goes into my filter, on the other side of the filter is my adjustable regulator off the regulator I have 2 Y connectors, I have a short hose that I leave hooked to my trailer water inlet, that one hooks up to one of the connectors on the Y. The other Y connector goes to my black water sprayer, the last connector goes for a coil hose that I use for my flush King so I can clean out the gray tanks. By having all of the hose after the regulator I make sure that I am not sending too much pressure to any water line. I also carry a pressure tester that I screw on the water faucet to see what kind of water pressure I am dealing with. I try to stay with 45-50psi.

OK, in the last 10 RV parks I have stayed at, there were 3 that had water pressure so high, you would not believe it. I take a 2 liter bottle to fill up and put in my windshield water bottle of my truck and these three sites when I turned on the water, filled that 2 liter bottle, in less than 3 seconds. One even blew the bottle right of my hand. So you have to use a regulator every where you go. I use the 45-55 PSI regulator, and use the BodySpa shower attachment, so the shower feels like a real shower.

I do. Keeps me from leaving it attached to the spigot when I leave.

How many of you install your adjustable regulator in the convenience center rather than at the spigot?

I wish you continued good luck.

Hmm, I've only encountered high water pressure maybe twice in 10 years of RVing, usually the Campground Water Pressure is pathetically low so I've seen no need for any pressure regulator.

Amen to that.

I use the adjustable regulator with gauge and it is plumbed on the inside of my convenience center (SOB MH). I would rather blow out a white hose coming from the CG faucet before it gets to my regulator than have someone steal my $80.00 regulator.

For years I used the $10 or $12 simple regulator in-line at the CG faucet. My pressure just wasn't that great and I suspected getting around 40psi even though they were stamped 40-50psi. When I got the new regulator with gauge we were in a public owned CG in central Illinois. A seasonal camper there told me the pressure was very high. We played around with adjusting the new regulator and found that by 11pm (weekday) the pressure could reach 80psi at the faucet.

My point is you may pull in to a CG and hook up to 50psi water pressure and think you don't need a regulator. Then in the middle of the night that pressure builds to 80psi or above....and....pop goes the.....

I agree with JandC. I have a Y connector. With the regulator inline with the filter to the city water line. I use the other connection to flush the black tank. Never had a problem...until today. I had flushed the black tank twice already at this CG with no issues. After I opened the valve, I noticed water leaking from the city water connection, which never happened before. Fortunately, the DW happened to need something from under the sink. She noticed water leaking and alerted me. We found the water coming from the back flow preventer. When I closed the valve outside all the leaking stopped. So, I will now ensure water to the black flush is regulated as well. I don't know if the preventer is damaged, but I will still purchase an external check valve and eliminate the back flow preventer to avoid the issue in the future. Lesson Learned!
