If you push the button with the piece of writing paper and pencil on it you can then edit your post.

I think the thing you're looking for is an accumulator tank, which lessens the "hammering" of the water system.

As for the Harbor Freight pump, I would be concerned about that not being clean or potable (grease/oil in the pump?) to pump directly into your fresh-water system.

Several of the new pumps like the Surflo revolution I just installed eliminate the need for the accumulator tank and even recommend against it, so there are some options.

You state you are dry camping so I will just add this just in case if you have the valve in you con center turned to city flow and use the water pump it will loose prime and want to run a lot more than it should sometimes not shutting off at all. If you have checked the valve position and still having trouble then this won't help good luck. I dry camp most of the time and ran head on to this problem the first time I went out turned the valve and everything worked great. Just a thought.

Thanks for the input.

Dick, the 1st time I forgot to turn the valve in the water closet back,
After filling the tank, and I went nuts trying to figure out why the pump kept on running.

I would think with this unit not quite a year old, that all that the unit should have come with all what has been mentioned about.
