DUMP HANDLES

I own a 2008 2955RL Montana. In the exterior service area I have the two dump valves but to the right (rear direction) and down low, along the bottom edge I find another handle. What is that handle for?

I'd guess your galley tank dump valve unless someone put an add on valve ahead of where your sewer hose hooks up.

Yup, it the galley grey water tank dump handle. Not in the most convenient place but still there. I use my awning rod to pull and close it and I don't have to go under the slide to get to it then. At least that is where mine in located is half way down the long slide out. I think they changed it some on later models but now they are all in the service center, I THINK!!! But who knows for sure!

UPDATE FROM FIRST POST---Well I guess I was wrong according to jlb27537. Looks like Keystone has not changed the galley tank drain handle yet. I had assumed all three tank drain handles were put into the convenient center. May have to keep my awning rod INCASE I can talk the DW into a new unit!

My '14 3150RL has 2 handles in the service center area, 1 black and 1 grey. The kitchen tank valve is located behind the left rear wheel.

Just bought a long handled "key" to turn on the faucet of a sprinkler system. Bent the end at a 90 and now I can reach under the slide and open that pesky valve without having to crawl under there.

Had the same model as you, and it's the galley tank.

AFAIK, Montana still places the drain handle for the galley tank somewhere along the frame (and away from the Convenience Center (CC)). It seems they can only fit two handles into the CC. EXCEPT for the 3900FB, which has two black tanks along with the normal two gray tanks (shower & galley) where they put all *FOUR* dump handles in the CC!!!

I am at a loss as to why they do it for one model but not all models.

Just for fun and to further muddy the valve handle location, the 3850FL is even worse. The black and gray tank are under the bedroom slide next to the rear door. The galley tank is beneath the kitchen slide. All three are a pain the back to use. The 3750FL had all three in the sewer hose storage compartment which was a nice feature!

Galley Dump HANDLE

I have lost the handle to the galley tank - have to use a pair pliers to open.
Any idea where where I can find a replacement. The screw hole appear small.

It is different than the two tank handles in the convenience center - but then both of these have been replaced in the past.

I lost a handle once and just took a few nuts from home and found the one that fit. Then went to Camping World and they have several in stock.

My 3000RK has the galley handle about 3' from the back of trailer and is awkward to pull in and push back in. Doesn't have good support and have to be careful operating it.

I just last week changed all 3 tank drain valves to electrical operated valves. The galley tank valve switch is now next to the black tank and grey tank valve switches in the covenience center.

What brand did you use? Did you do it yourself?
