Location for Repeater for TST Pressure system
After getting a faulty reading on my TST presure system, they suggested getting a repeater to correct problem. It was not registering the 2 front tires; not coming on and going off after 40 to 50 miles. Where are you mounting the repeater? On your truck or the trailer, and where?

The two front tires should have the strongest signal. I don't need a repeater at all and the monitor senses all the truck and trailer tires. I think that you have a different problem. If you look into the sending units where they screw into the tires, do you see a milky white seal or is it black? I was having problems with false readings and had all of mine changed to the black ones. No more problems.

I mounted my repeater in the front of the front closet in the trailer. I needed 12 volts and took it off of the light in the closet.

If you have your monitor located low in the truck cab, try setting it on the dash and see if it works better. I have mine on the dash and don't have a repeater, never had a problem with signal strength.

I hope you mean the 2 front tires of the trailer.
Have you tried switching monitor positions?
I think you have a couple weak sending units.

Thanks for all the input. I have the monitor mounted on the windshield. My wheel monitors are the new tye where you replace the batteries every year instead of the complete individual tire monitor. They said a longer antenna would not prevent the problem and the repeater would. Strange how some of you with longer trailers don't have that problem. We'll see if the repeater will solve the problem. I feel the purchase of the repeater is a bit of a ripoff.

We don't have that problem. Our sensors register with the monitor sitting on the floor of the truck. But there are times I set it on the dash.
