Pre-Owned Montana--Price??
We're looking for a pre-owned Montana and recently saw a 2007 3400RL that appears to be in pretty decent shape. It has slide toppers, 120 watt solar panel, roof mounted Winegard satellite antenna, pull out slide tray. Would appreciate some feedback with respect to a fair price for this RV in a private sale. Thanks in advance.

Best thing to do is an internet search, combine that with the Nada pricing and you will readily see if they are asking too much. If you want to PM or e-mail me I will let you know what I paid for our 2007 3400RL when it was new.

Here is a link to the NADA guide: NADA Guide. There you can select the RV tab and go to the travel trailer/5th wheel section and find a price for the year and model you are looking at with the features and options it has. Works the same as Kelley Blue Book but for RV's

Might look at PPL Motorhomes web site. They list units they have sold, which will let you do price comparisons for buying or selling.

We got 23k when we traded our 2005 3400 in last spring. They depreciate quickly. Buying a used unit, look at warranty insurance. A fridge replacement can be the same price as your warranty cost. Good luck finding the perfect.

With the current market, you might want to do some shopping around...you may find a new unit for a price close to what some used units are listed for!

If you use the nada site, be sure NOT to check the boxes for items that are standard on the Montana. Otherwise you get an inflated value.

agree with CamillaMichael. We recently upgraded to a 3750FL for WAY under list price. And we had several to choose from in that price range. The market is a buyer's market right now. It ended up being only 6K more than I paid for a Cougar fiver in 09. Look carefully, you may be really surprised what your dollar (OK several thousands of dollars) will get you right now.

You can compare pricrs by going to www.traderonline.com and navigate to rvs and then narrow your sewrch to Keystone Montana . Scroll down some because the dealer premiun listings on new units appear first. Hope this helps.
