Hydrolic Legs by Lippert

after reading Steve's post on cranky I called Lippert about Hydrolic front legs They asked me the year and if I had hydrolic slides.
They told me I could convert to hydrolic slides but it would have to be installed at there plant for about 2000 plus.

So, Don, are you going to have it done or would you prefer to pay them to do it to ours so you can check the quality of the work before paying to have it done to yours???

By the way, I saw Dale's hydraulic landing gear in action shortly after he had them installed. Pretty sweet. $2k is a bit steep for us, though.

I dont know Steve, but its the same here on the price. I can crank a long time for 2 K plus. plus the cost for fuel up and back.
But it is nice to know that they are available if you want them when ordering that new Monty from the factory.

Don

Well....I wasn't far off. I guessed at one point that it would be around 2500 bucks to do the conversion. But, you do need to know that the pump has to be changed to one with a larger reservoir and a higher rated relief valve on the extend side. Along with that, you will need the 2 14" stroke hydraulic cylinder and leg assemblies and an electronically controlled solenoid valve. It also requires a different switch on the bulk-head that you push to raise and lower the legs. Then when labor gets added......there you go.

Most of you now, for the slide systems have pumps rated at 2200 and 2200. That's 2200 psi on both extend and retract. My pump is set up at 2200 psi retract and 2800 psi on extend. After all, if you are going to lift 14000+ lbs, you need some muscle!
