chairs and couch in 340RLQ Montana Big Sky

Has anyone replaced the chairs and sofa in there 340RLQ or 3400 Montana? The ones it came with seem way to heavy and are hard to move around. I am wondering why Keystone put something that heavy in there? Also the chairs are so big they wont hardly turn. Thanks

We put the couch under the rear window, and replaced the two recliners with a Lazy Boy Wall hugger. I use the recliner and wife uses the couch. I like looking at the TV straight on....We eventually want to replace the sofa with a matching couch from Lazy Boy. We don't need the sleeper and it is a heavy thing...... Some folks have used the Ekornnes European style gliders/recliners....Whatever floats your boat.....

since my wife does all the inside moving she purchased 2 inch movers and stuck them to the bottom of the circle. you can almost move them with one hand. I never thought they would stay stuck to the bottom but of corse I was wrong again, its been 2 years.

I finally figured out what Jack and Loraine mean by furniture movers, da. Will get some the next time I am in town to put under my chairs. My Niece just moved a large heavy piece of furniture on a set of them and she said it was easy. Takes awhile for things to register as I get older.

We just purchased the replacements, euro leather recliners that are approximately half the weight of the ones that came in the Big Sky. We haven't swapped them out.....5'er in NH in the snow at the moment.
Would also like to change the sofa...too big and heavy and can always use an airbed for company if needed. Can't wait to see the new recliners in place....they are way more comfortable than the Keystone units...sitting in it now...love it. I am hoping once the new recliners are in place I will be inspired for the couch replacement.

I had the movers under the couch but they make the couch move around while driving. I just want something lighter. I think I will look at the lazy boy recliner and the love seat. Thanks for your imput. Sanford

Not sure if an oem replacement is available, but if you could take that bottom spin/rocker assembly off the bottom of those recliners and replace them with standard recliner "legs" (or make your own), you will greatly reduce the overall weight of those things. I don't really need mine to spin or rock anyway...

When we bought the 340RLQ, we put Ekornes recliners with ottomans. They are very comfortable and much much lighter than the OEM recliners. Dianna can move them easily. She has back issues. We use the OEM couch.

I would like replace the recliners in our 340RLQ, but right now we are in the process of replacing our dining chairs. We are making new dining chairs for the stick house, so decided to make a few more for the Big Sky. The new chairs will be so much lighter.
