3810/3811 Owners
My wife and I love the floorpan of the 3810,and plan to purchase one next Spring. However, she is very skeptical of not being able to fit in most of the campgrounds. The website calls it a 40'9", dealers advertise it as a 38', but I think they're going off the model number and not the true length. I would check campsites first, but do you find that you're limited because of the length? BTW, having previously driving tractor trailer setups, driving and backing this wouldn't be an issue.

The main to look at is what type of camping locations do you like to frequent. If it is RV resort/RV Park type locations, there won't be any issue at all. If it is state and national parks, there will be some locations where you will be limited on sites or to only particular camping areas. If it is state forest and more primitive locations, it will be more limiting. If it is boondocking, it will be all over on the possibilities. The length choices for 5vers, at least within the Montana's, only ranges by a few feet. We chose the 3160RL to maximize our options but more so because we loved the layout. You want to be sure you get what you want and will enjoy. Easiest way to handle the campsite question is go online to try and research the areas/places you'd want to go and see what size sites they have.

Have found a few issues over the years, but never caused us to change plans. As stated above, if we're going to state or older federal park we research it online before we go.

If you spend most of your time in state or county campgrounds, you will be faced with length issues, as many of those facilities have length limitations. Ours is 40.6, never had a problem getting a site. We seldom stay in state parks.
