Putting a floor in the front generator space ??

Hi, have a 2015 3611RL and want to put a floor for water proofing of some kind in the front generator space. It has cuts in the metal floor I assume are for a generator to vent, but we dont need a generator. Am I missing something , or will a floor be fine to add ?

I made a floor for mine from 1/2” plywood. I made it in two pieces so I could remove it easily, and store stuff like axes, etc. in it.

On mine I just used a piece of carpet and formed it to fit. Use the space for tools and such.

In our front generator space I used Gorilla Tape to cover the floor air vents.

I used black silicon to seal up the slots. Electrical knock out plugs for the holes. Sanded/scraped and painted with rust reformer paint then applied spray on truck bed liner to both sides. Then covered with carpet. The truck bed liner is some really tuff stuff. I used it on a garden trailer that gets a lot of use, shoveling mulch/dirt etc out of it. Barely puts a scratch on it

Good ideas. Think I'll take out the carpet and add the gorilla tape and put the carpet back.
