Water pump replacement

I have the stock water pump on my 2012 3800RE. My DW is not happy with the water pressure/flow when we boondock. What suggestions do you have? Some that I have looked at draw significant current all the time (not just when pumping) and could affect the draw from the battery when we do not have hookups.

You can upgrade to a Variable Speed pump. Which varies the speed at which it pumps based on demand. Eliminates that typical pounding of the pump turning on and off and the water pulsating. Not exactly cheap tho.

This pump from Shurflo is quiet, flows a little more than standard pumps and has a higher pressure.

Thanks for all the feedback. I checked in with Rick at the RV Water Filter Store and he confirmed that the variable speed pumps do not draw significant current when the pump is not pumping. I was concerned that the microprocessor that controls this type of pump would be enough of a current draw that it would reduce my battery life. He said he has never had anyone complain about that.

If you are going to replace the pump I suggest an accumulator also. Camping World has an expensive one gallon and Lowes/Home Depot has a much reasonable 2 gallon.
It is a storage tank with a rubber diafram which helps keep the water pressure up. It prevents the pump from machine gunning (on/off running) when you are drawing less than full pressure.
