Tomorrow, Coushatta, LA (Red Shoes RV Park)
Heading for Coushatta tomorrow. Should be there around 1400 hours (2 p.m. for you civilians). I'm hoping a MOC'er will drop by and keep me from going to the Casino.
Red Shoes RV Park
Edited: p.s., Weekdays, $17 a night. Weekends, $22 a night.

They asked if I had a player's card. I do, but it's at home. With a player's card you get to stay free, or get discounted. However, if the General Manager has not changed, then I know him - might just look him up.
BUT, at 19.50 + tax, I'm not really looking for a comp.
WIth that said, this is a nice place. long pull throughs, over 200 of them, shuttle to and from the casino. free wi-fi, etc.,
There is one problem - I'm back in the South, thank God, but it is so freaking hot. It was 97 when we drove in at 1430 hours.
Oh! And I-10 is still a washboard, but the West side of I-10 is not as bad as the East side going into N.O. It knocked me all over the place when I didn't expect it.
I'm trying to talk the wife into two days here, but she's getting antsy and wants home to the stick house. It's a day ride now.

They should be able to give you a duplicate card. We have been there a few times, also used to frequent the boats at Shreveport and the casino in Marksville, LA. I was always leaving my card at home. Ended up with a stack of them.

I didn't need one. We don't go that much, but it's fun.
As a corrections, the Campground cost me $119.80.
Broken down that's $19.80 for the CG and $100 for fun for the both of us.
Walked in, sat at Gumbeaux's and had a good meal. Kept watching the quarter machine just off the veranda. Finished and went out to investigate. I sat at one machine from about 1900 hours until 2130 hours (2 1/2 hours for the civilians) and spent $40. Wife lost $40 and gave me a voucher for $20. I had enough so started walking around in anticipation of going back the the CG. Wife had left 40 minutes after we arrived (She looses quick) And then I saw it, spinning around on a pedestal, shouting "Ride me! Ride me! Win me! Win me!" Will I still had HER $20 so I played the War Pony machine until 2245 (10:45 p.m.) when I lost my last bit of money.
Oh well! $100 worth of entertainment and eye ball liberty!!!!! [:0)]

During our colorful historical past the white man waged war against the Indians. The real reason to oust him from his happy hunting grounds to take advantage of all the natural resources of the great West was greed. To extract revenge the Indians would attack settlers, plunder, kill, and take coup or "scalps" to be exact.
Today the Indian is much wiser, all he had to do in today's world to survive is "scalp" the white man's pocket book. The Indians at Coushatta are primary examples.
