303 protectant

Are you guys putting 303 on after waxing, or are you not waxing and just using 303 protectant?

Can you apply 303 over a waxed rig? I just waxed the nose of the rig and am curious.

I just purchased some 303 from the manufacturer. They sent some literature with my shipment that said it shouldn't be applied on top of wax because wax, teflon, silicone or polymer sealants wouldn't let the 303 adhere to the surface.

Larry, I just washed my RV this weekend and used the 303 for the first time. 303 reminds me a lot of Armor All but I suspect it is better. It is white in color and I did like the results. My RV was due to be waxed because I noticed while I was washing the RV, the water sheeted instead of beading. Instead of waxing I used the 303 and it made the water bead like wax as well as having a waxed feel to the touch. 303 claims it has a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 40 to preserve decals. It was much easier than wax because it is a liquid that you spray on and wipe off. As of now, I am happy with the results. I haven't tried it yet on the rubber roof.

I don't know how long the 303 will hold up as far as beading water but I will let you know. The literature did say that the sun protection starts deminishing after 8 weeks.

just bought my first bottle of 303 for my new 3380rl, got about 1/3 of the trailer done and am pretty impressed. i build hot rods for a side buisness and am always trying out new polishes and such. the 303 is easy to put on leaves a nice finish now just have to see how it lasts.

I have been reeading the posts about 303 and it sounds great. Our rig is new and to the best of my knowlage has never been waxed. From reading the 303 web site I would use the 303 aerospace protectant for everything from top to bottom rubber and fiberglass am I reading this correctly ? Anyone know how much it will cover ? The site said to wet it not dampen so does it use a lot?

It took about 3/4 of a quart for me to do everything but the roof on my 2955. It comes in a spray bottle and we just sprayed it on and wiped it off.

Itried it today the 303 protectant. i did not like it it smeared and sreaked and showed the streaks to much for me. My wife Elanine tells me I am to much of a clean freak and every thing has to be perfect. I went back and used McQuires on the whole rig. More work but worked better doesn't streak or smear like 303. Maybe I used 303 wrong I sprayed it like directions said then went right back and wiped it off. Shjould I let it set for a while?

I don't know if they are right but according to the instructions if there are smears you have used too much.

Broome101, If You had streaking it sounds like there was residual wax on the surface. If You want to try it again after the coat of wax You just put on is shot, I'd wash the trailer with Palmolive or another brand of dishwashing detergent. That will strip any remaining wax so You could give another try.
