Benson, AZ Recommendations?

We are trying now to plan our winter. We think the Benson area would suit us. We are not big city people and prefer something off the Interstate. As long as the CG has WiFi, level and ample sites, 50 amp, CATV and is decent and not real expensive, we are happy. We do not use the pool and rarely use the showers. Exercise room would be a plus. We were looking at Mountain View in Huachua but TL rating is not great. Any one been there?
Happy trails..........................

We stayed at Mountain View and it was a nice place to stay Sue. Nice people running it too. We also stayed at the Escapee Park in Benson and loved it.

Either of these parks are close to a lot of fun places and we went to them all. You can find it on our blog sometime in November and December of 2005.

If you are an Escapee, the name of their park in Benson is Saguaro RV Park - on the south end of town with club house and tons of activities - long term leases on top row for winter if they haven't already been spoken for - they fill up fast!

Sue, a few weeks ago we stayed at the Butterfield RV Resort in Benson. Not too far off the highway, but not much road noise. The pads are all concrete and level. Good hookups. We stayed an extra day there on our way to visit my folks in Deming, NM. We did take a dip in the pool and it was lovely. Don't usually use the amenities, but it was HOT! Good luck!

Sue,
San Pedro on the S.E. edge of Benson is nice and was under $300/mo last year. There are other nice ones there but I don't have my directory with me. If you want to know about any others or about the area in general let me know. We have spent the last 4 winters just south in St. David and will be there end of Jan. after Quartzsite.
