Just a suggestion, but if you want to experience the mountains and the leaves changing colors (mid-October should be about peak) I strongly recommend Revelles in the Elkins area. We stay there every year during Memorial Day and Labor Day. Get a river site (higher than 34) and the view out the back of the Monty will be gorgeous. Web-site:
