There is a reason that Hobart has stayed in business, and yes, thrived through the years. A quality product.
That mixer will be working 20 years down the road.
I bought Sue a Kitchen Aid mixer with all the attachments in 1976, it is just as good now as it was then.

I didn't think Hobarts needed to be rebuilt. The last one I used, commercially, was taller than I am, and you needed a fork lift to move it. I think it was an 80 qt.

So, when DW said she wanted to buy a "Kitchen Aid" mixer, I didn't even hesitate at the price.

Seeing how you like "old arn", here are a couple websites you may enjoy. I have restored a few pieces of old woodworking machinery. They sure don't make them like they used to!!

Sorry about the links. They are fixed now. Lot's of info on restored "old Arn". I enjoy seeing the old stuff brought back to origianl condition. Be warned the sites may be addictive.
