2018 HC362rd Melted Wire ?

Just picked up our new HC362RD and was cleaning the sawdust out and noticed a blue small wire connected near the battery that is almost melted in two. Does anyone know what this blue wire would go to? Looks like the factory goofed something up. We will create a list for the dealership to fix at a later time, but this might need to be fixed sooner? Dealership is three hours away. We havenít used the Camper yet. Anyone recognize the wire?

I would not wait on that one. That wire is effectively connected directly to the battery with no fuse protection in sight. Have no idea what it goes to but I would be very concerned about a fire.

Maybe wire for brakes, or breakaway switch?

A blue, 12AWG unfused wire is usually for the breakaway switch (about a ten buck item). The switch may be at fault or someone may have pulled its removable plug expecting the brakes to act as a parking brake. That wont work. Take a look at the four pair of axle to brake backing plate wires too and you may find that they too are crispy or one is shorted which will also cause brake failure as well as ruin the switch.

looked at mine it goes to the breakaway switch on the supply side of switch with no fuse. Load side of switch goes to the brakes in the junction box. The colors maybe different than yours.

Ok, thank you, I will crawl under it tomorrow. I just know the brakes from the dealership to our house, 286 miles, were really great. But maybe that is just for the breakaway mode.

Yes, you guys were right. I traced it back to the metal junction box under the pin box. Now, itíll have to go back to the dealership sooner than I wanted. We just brought it home. And we spent 4 hours on the PDI. Hope it donít break loose on the way. I just had to cut it loose from the battery it was so bad. Thank you for all your help !!
