What app for traveling
i know that a lot of folks have garmin type gps/travel units in their tv for travel for mileage and maps and fuel etc…. . did not want to spend that kind of money yet so the question is " on iPhones, what apps are folks using if they are using apps for the same thing and what would be the best app for seeing fuel stop, campgrounds rest areas etc….." ? or are you using multiple apps for info
thanks

I use Allstays Camp and RV. Excellent ap, it shows gas stations, food and campgrounds. You can also get directions to the locations and use it as a small GPS while driving.
I use my phones Bluetooth to send the directions to my GPS so they work together.

I do have a Garmin GPS that I use primarily for directions but also rely on Trucker Path app for fuel, food, Walmart, and rest stops. As a second source I use the Google maps app.

AllStays, My Altitude, Find Friends, Yelp, Chimani National Parks, History Here, GasBuddy, Roadside, Passport America, iExit, AroundMe, RoadAhead, RV Parks.com, MyRadar, WeatherBug, and my bestest all time fav: MotionX.
OHHH, and of course, FB and Safari so I can read the MOC, but, of course.

I wouldn't be without my Rand RV GPS. If nothing else just for the routing with my 13'5" height. But other than that, for planning/navigation assistance I only use (I-phone) apps: Good Sams, My Pilot, RV Parky, Love's, KOA, Passport America iExit, and Trucker Path. They are all free, some are for locating fuel stops and some are for locating campgrounds.
On my computer I have a site (google maps U.S. Rest Stops) saved that gives all rest stops in the U.S. It even lists ones on state routes and secondary roads. I look those up and make a note of them the night before.

Dennis, we use All-Stays, Gas Buddy, Good Sam and a few other helpful apps like RV Companion. We use the Ram GPS and a Garmin GPS for different reasons. It was good meeting both of you at Johnson Corner.

We use Camps and All Stays. I can power up my hot spot on my cell and use the IPad while heading down the road. The Ap has multiple filters for all sorts of useful information. Fuel, dump stations, low clearance,, steep incline and downgrades, as well as camp grounds. We then use Google Earth to preview camp sites, can be sure we are parking at best place possible for our rig.
