Rotella T4 is certified CK-4 and CJ-4. It is on the Ford approved list. 10W30 or 15W40.

JIMMER I agree the best thing you can do is what Ford recommends if you would like to keep your warranty because some of these oils do not meet Fords latest specs.

6.7 Oil

Only run full synthetic oil. It will save you a turbo, reduce wear on the engine and it protects when running biodiesel.

Good luck

Good luck, oil is the life blood of a truck. A few more dollars will save many.

Synthetic is better oil no doubt. We have a horizontal ban saw in my shop that we use everyday sometimes all day. It’s 35 years old. A gear in it wore out in 5 years after we got it. We replaced it and put in synthetic gear oil and after 30 years the gear is still good as new.
Do we need synthetic in our trucks probably not. The engine will wear out the rest of the truck. It is definitely better especially on a hot turbo.
