Bounce Sheets

Several years ago when we had a TT, we had some mice get in during storage. We heard many methods of keeping them away and decided to try the Bounce sheets because of the recommendations and it seemed like we had nothing really to lose. Since that time we have also had a motor home and are now on our second Montana. Whenever we stored our rigs after that time we placed sheets of Bounce fabric softener on the floor, in the cupboards and in the basements. We have never had a return by the mice. Last year, we heard of using the Bounce sheets for removing the bugs from the front cap after travel. i believe that it was on this forum. We now do this and the bugs come right off and the cap rinses clean and shiny every time. If the rig has been in storage, the used sheets from the floor work fine.

I bet if any mice do come around, they are soft and wrinkle free!

Is there any certain scent you recommend?

I found that if you soak the bounce sheets in hot water and a little bit of dawn dish washing liquid they work even better on those bugs.
Don't forget about using them on the TV.

Mosquitos don't like bounce either. We hang a sheet from pocket, hat or belt loop when golfing. People may laugh, but we don't have to swat!

If you have time enter Bounce sheets in your Google search engine and see all the applications. It is amazing.

Can you use any other brand, or do they have to be Bounce? We had them this spring in our 2000 Montana and when we traded it in at the NE RAlly they were still eating all the mice food I put out. I hope the Big Sky is tighter, but I guess they get in anywhere.

I have a sailboat I keep in a wet slip. For years we had a terrible time keeping the mud daubers from building nests up under the sail cover...until I started cutting strips of Bounce and lining the bottom of the cover with them.

For those of you using Bounce sheets to deter rodents and mud daubers, how long before you have to replace them?

I replace mine when they don't smell like Bounce any more, the time varies, but more often in the boat than in the RV, since they are exposed to the elements in the boat.

We were at a July 4th fireworks display in Northern Michigan and parked in a large, bug filled field. The Bounce sheets kept the mosquitoes at bay for the entire show. They have always worked very well for us against mice, too.

Using the smell test, is that about a month, three months, six months? Just looking for a rough idea. Thanks.

We have changed at approx 6 month or so intervals. The scent does last for quite a while.
