TPMS help
I have searched and searched and can't find anything on here about these. I am 90% sure there threads on it. Anyway, I seem to remember a discussion comparing different ones. One brand had a larger display screen but other drawbacks.
I know TST seem popular too. More suggestions would be appreciated.

I think most. Folks recommended the TST 507rv Tire Monitor System - Monitors PSI and Temperature -Flow Through System Model. That is what I am going with

I did a search for tire pressure and under subject only and found several discussions.
But yes, many of us are happy with TST 507 systems. I have the standard (not flow thru) sensors and work fine for me. I remove them Oct/Nov. About late March I check pressures, generally add 1-3 pounds air per tire, reinstall the sensors, and am good for the travel season. Only complaint I have heard about the flow thru is when adding air the air goes in very slowly. And they are larger and heavier.

I got the newer flow thru about 18 months ago. They are the ones that you can change the batteries yourself. I went with the advise I found on this forum. I have had them on two different Montana models. I agree with BB_TX reference adding air, it does seem to take a little longer. However, I have only added air maybe once or twice. During the year my Montana sees some huge differences in temperatures and I have to keep reminding myself to not mess with my air pressure settings. If you have newer G614 tires it is possible you may not drop any air pressure all year long.

I started with pressure pro and changed to TST 507's to get the changeable batteries and the flow thru feature.

I purchased the TST 507 and I found them easy to install and set up. No experience with other brands but love these!

Do those that bought the 507 flow thru, did you rebalance your tires after installation? Also, did you put on metal valve stems?

No to both questions, however I hope to change tires this year and hope to do both.
On a different vein, perhaps the TST system will become the official pressure monitoring system of the NFL?

I bought the Minder system because TST couldn't get their system to me in time for my trip (had run short of inventory). Minder has worked just fine for me, but from what I have heard on this forum, the TST unit would have been fine too.

My G614s came with metal valve stems, but I did not get the tires rebalanced after installation of the sensors.
TST DOES recommend metal valve stems. From their website:

Do I need special valve stems?
No, you do not need special valve stems, but you do need commonly available metal valve stems.
The added weight of the sensor on a rubber valve stem could cause problems that will be avoided by using metal valve stems.
Most motorhomes and commercial transport vehicles come equipped with metal valve stems. If you do need metal valve stems, they are not expensive; a recent customer had 6 valve stems replaced on a 30’ gooseneck racing trailer for $36. They are available and can be quickly installed by any tire dealer.

go with the tst 507rv some of us need repeaters some don't with the system be on the safe side and get it with repeaters

We have been using the TST system for 5 years but for us we like the 510 model with the sealed sensors. The battery life is 5-7 years so we don't have to mess with yearly battery changes and I just like the shape of the monitor. Hugs, Di

When we had our 1996 Dodge Dually, we had them on both the truck and 5th wheel. Even though we felt we would hear/feel a blowout on the truck, we did it anyway. It was worth it to us.
When we traded in on our 2014 Ram it came with a tpms system. It definitely doesn't do the job our TST does but it does monitor the tires but we can't have both systems on the truck. Not my preference but we do have some insurance. Hope this helps, Hugs, Di

I didn't re-balance, but did put metal stems on. The unit came with enough for six tires, so I put the last 2 on my inside rear tires. I'm happy with the system, but haven't used any others. As in all my add-ons thus far, I followed the advice of the people on this forum.
