2016 Montana 293RK black tank flush

Hello all! New to 5th wheels Ive only had one other trailer. But Im trying to properly flush my black tank.

Do I use my external shower looking blue hose somehow, or is there a more correct way to hook up a line that will mix up the sediment of the black tank and flush it?

The instructions comment about hooking up a hose for the black is there..but where it isnt clear. Where is the tank wash hub?

Also, this self leveling never works. It always says error LF or something to that effect.

I'd not use the outside shower but some do. It does connect to your plumbing. I use another hose for nothing but BW flushing from the CG spigot. 1st, never hesitate to call LCI with a problem on their auto-level systems. CS is great. What you describe sounds like on an electric system, not hydraulic. While hooked up extend all legs at least 6" and hit 'retract all" and that should reset your message. That message most often appears when a leg is over extended.

So the shower hose to what port? The shower line, or another hose, to that second lower port below my city water connection?

When I did this, it started to fill the freah water tank. I dont believe this is a black tank “tank wash hub” as stated in the instructions.

The black tank flush is the bottom port. Get a dedicated hose for the job if your going to flush at a dump station as they often have non potable water for that purpose.

You can use the outside shower as well. Going that route it is possible to flush using your 12volt pump if you have some water in your supply tank. It is good to have this option as some dump stations may not have flush water or it may not be easy to use

Of course if the campground has sewage at the campsite you can flush right there before pulling out. When I have that option I take my time and partially refill the tank a few times to make sure it floats out the nasty. Be careful though doing that as you can pressure up the tank. Holding open the toilet will release air pressure if it isn’t splashing up too much

There are two check valves that can cause issues on the black flush line. One is at the hose connector you mentioned and that one is easily removed. Second is the anti siphon valve which is located somewhere inside the trailer! For sure you need to replace the cheap OEM plastic one. There are several threads on the subject

I put a Y connector on the park faucet. I connect my white fresh water hose to one side of the Y and a green hose to the other to my black tank flush. I leave the fresh water side of the Y open and only open the flush side of the Y when doing a black tank flush. Don't have to connect/disconnect hoses each time I flush.

The black tank flush it right under the city water connection you can use the shower connection or I use a y connector at the water connection from the CG for a nether hose fore the black tank. but some times I do use the hot water from the shower!

Nothing says: black tank flush though. And when I open the line so water would enter that second hose opening adapter as sern in the picture - it seemed to fill into my fresh tank.

For clarification I may need to call Keystone since there are just so many different models. However, this portion should be relatively the same amongst similar year group models.

The bottom one is your flush.

For your LF leveling issue. the leveling jacks should extend more than 6 and less than 12 or you will get an error. That is not in the manual. That is from Jeff's school of hard knocks and language class.

It may sound like it's going in your fresh tank but it's not what you here is the water coming out of the sparer in the black tank your fresh water tank is in the rear of your 5er
you have the same hook up center as mine so I know it's the bottom one! a neither way to tell is if you have a clear connector run the water and see if clear water comes out when you run the tank flush.

Copy - I think what through me off was the fact that it didnt drain until I pulled the fresh tank release valve.

But I will investigate further. But if it is the case and I have full hookups - I assume using the blue hose/shower connection to flush the black, is still sanitary and wont be an issue.

No issue at all there is a lot of people that do it that way it nice to use the hot water some times to add in the cleaning! of that tank after you do that one close the valve and use your gray tanks to flush out your wast hose.

Roger! Will do

On a side note: the trailer can sit with the front jacks up and not hooked to the truck, while I mess with the autolevel system - correct??

Nope, it just says error LF”. I retracted all at one time and then it said “error right rear” or something like that.

Have you called LCI and talk they are great people to talk to and will help over the phone!
I'm sure it is something simple did you try to reset the system to see if that worked there should be instructions right on the inside of the basement door.
