Tire switch out

Have 2014 Montana Mountaineer. Currently have 235/80R16 China bombs on it. Want to put G614RST on it but can only find 235/85R16. Has anybody done this or will the tire be to tall? Thanks for any feedback Ray

Many folks on here have done that. The question is common, but no issues reported that I've ever heard of.

Most of us have had no issues jumping up to the 85. For me it help raise the unit just under an inch, which I needed. Someone mentioned they had to trim the skirt for clearance. My rolls easier and does not rock on my Sailun tires. Simpletire deliveries in three days. Discount. Tire mount/ balanced for std charge.

We did it, first with Nexen LT tires, then Goodyear G614's (last week). No issues on our 2014 3625RL

The 85s add 1" total, or 1/2" in height. Should not be a problem.

Actually, depending on what make your China Bombs are the 614s may be slightly shorter.
