Dealer and Keystone

Had some problems with my fireplace remote, fireplace functioned fine, remote, not so much. Today, dealer called and said new fireplace had arrived. Great, bad remote or receiver board and we get a complete unit. Here is the good part, they came to my house and installed it. Now that is service.

That is great service. No remote for us, but we do have a remote for our gas fireplace at the house. Maybe something that came out with the 2012 models.

Our 2012 doesn't have a remote with the fireplace either...is it an extra option? When we were doing the walk through the dealer rep mentioned a remote and then when he couldn't find it he said "I guess this one doesn't have a remote". WD

Our 2012 3100RL has a remote. Works great. We will be at the rally in Verde Canyon if you want to try our remote on yours to see if it works you are welcome too. Ken

Yep, remote, but it was flakey, sometimes worked, mostly did'nt. But its all good now. This dealer has been great, ordered my Fantastic fan cover and bathroom fan cover from them, cheaper then what I found on the Internet, and they offered to install them if I swung the trailer by, no charge. I installed them myself, 20 minute job, wasn't worth hooking up for. But when they said they would do the fireplace swap at the house, I was very surprise. Good people.

You poor guys with no remote. I can sit in my chair and turn it on/off, change the intensity of the flame light, and turn the heat on/off while leaving the flame on.
Only thing I can't do with the remote is change the temp setting.
Actually I added my fireplace myself so it is not one supplied by Keystone.

Ok you guys that sit in your Lazy Boy chairs with a handful of remotes including one for the fireplace. If you can pry yourself loose from the chair for a minute, I'd like to know what model of fireplace you all have. That might help those unfortunates like myself determine if we should have one as well. At the moment we have to suffer with only two remotes being the TV and the FM/DVD player. HELP!

Now that you mention it, 2 TV remotes, DVD Remote, Fantastic Fan Remote, Fireplace Remote, and Trailer Remote (lights, slides, awning, levelers). Are we REALLY that lazy? OK, I am, but how about the rest of you. I remember when I pulled my slide in camper of with side jacks at camp, had to actually lift the roof of my pop up(ok, it was spring assisted) but I still had to lift a little. And lately on my last 5ver, I had to hold the button to extend the front levelers and hand crank the rear stabilizers. Dang I love the Montana.

Excellent service, and I wonder if a remote could be added to ours.

I'm sorry, but if I'm already there at the desk, reaching down to turn on the fireplace is less of a big deal than finding the remote the cats kicked under the recliner. I'm down to just using one remote for the TV and Stereo/DVD player together and I don't want a second one.

Our 2006 has a remote for the fireplace, the ceiling fan, the furnace and many other things. My wife uses it all the time. All she has to do is say: "Honey, do this" or "Honey, do that". It always works and doesn't need batteries.

Yes, but can she find them when she needs them?

We did not get a remote with our fireplace and looked online and see that the Dimplex models in the 9000 series do have the remote. Ours is the 8000 series.

We do love the remote for the slides, levelers and lights though, what a great idea!
