Heading out

Going to try to beat the Snowy weather due here in Wa. Will be headed to Seaside, Or. Thursday and go down Coast to get away from bad weather on I-5. Then 101 to SF/Sac area. From there try to go 99 to Bakersfield, 58/I-40 to Needles, 95 Parker to I-10 or I-8 to Florence Az. Hope to be in Florence by the 15th. If it's bad on 58 will drop down to I-8 from Sac. Will be flashing those lights IF we see any Monty's on the way.

dersequim,
Daryl you folks are welcome to overnight here in our driveway in Bakersfield if you're in need of a stop before continuing on over the mountains. We do have full hookups if needed. Everyone else is also welcome when passing through Bakersfield.

We plan to take off on the same route as you but we're not leaving until about the 18th. So far the pass over Tehachapi has stayed open even though the Grapevine on I-5 has been closed.

Travel safely and enjoy.

Daryl, Dennis and Mary Kay are super nice people. If you have the opportunity to stop and meet them I think you'd enjoy it a lot.

Daryl: We sent you a PM, but I'm not sure it got through..got some sort of blocking message from your ISP...anyhow, we are in the Orange Grove RV Park, about 6 mi east of B'Field on 58. Very good RV park, and lots of "snowbird-in-transit" overnighters the last few days. Highly recommended as an enroute stop. We will be here until o/a 8 Feb.

We are visiting with Dennis and Mary Kay later today. If your travel plans work out, we are in spot 47 at Orange Grove. Maybe we can get all three couples together for dinner or lunch. If you can, give us a "heads up" a couple of days prior.

Best Regards,

Daryl, PJ and Nancy are also very nice people you'd enjoy, I'm sure. Sorry, forgot they were in Bakersfield.
