Hi, I am Shirley Griffin and husband Mike just traded in 24' TT for a Montana 2015 3440RL. We have had it about a week and are still getting used to all the gadgets. We live in Minnesota currently and have been traveling during the winter. We have workamped at 3 campgrounds and really like doing it. The first job was in Branson MO, next we workamped in our home state of Minnesota for the summer and last winter we workamped in La Feria TX. We are pulling our 5th wheel with a Ford F250 Diesel. I am sure we will have many questions to ask in the future. Our main question so far is the water hookup. We connected the hose to what we thought was city water and got water all over the bathroom. I wish there was a explanation of water hookup panel. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the MOC. Lots of great people and information here so be sure to join in the conversations.
The "City Water Hook-up" should be the center one on the convenience panel. the bottom one is for the Black Tank Flush and the top one is for the Winterizing Anti-Freeze.
Did you find were the water was coming from?

It was a flat thing under the sink. A red and white hose coming from it. It was leaking from the white hose.

If it was under the bathroom sink than that is the Vacuum Breaker/Back-Flow Preventer Valve for the Black Tank Flush system. They are known to leak and give you problems. You must have connected your water supply hose to the Black Tank Flush connection.
A lot of folks, me included, have removed them and just connected the two pipes together. You then should add a Back-Flow Preventer Valve to the black tank flush connection outside in the convenience panel. These valves can be found at most hardware stores, Lowes or Home Depot.
Hope this helps! I'm sure there will be some more folks along shortly that may provide even more info.

Welcome to the forum! It is a common mistake to hook to the black tank flush and it's also common for that valve to fail. We replaced ours with an outside set up before it failed. An outside unit looks like this; http://www.amazon.com/LASCO-05-1763-...flow+preventer
and is connected to the end of the hose before it is hooked to the black tank flush connection. If you use an external one you can remove the one under the sink and avoid future problems.

Welcome to the club. We have been in your state of Minnesota for about a week now. It's a beautiful state with much to see. We're departing tomorrow for South Dakota.

Welcome from the Great State of Nebraska! Enjoy the Forum and if you have any other questions about your new Monte ask away because this is the best place to get answers to any questions you can come up with. You've seen what you've got already. If you can attend a MOC Rally think about doing so! Besides getting questions answered you'll get to meet a whole bunch of great MOC members. If you can make the MOC Fall Rally in Goshen, IN (where your unit was born)you will really learn a lot and get to meet even more MOC members that are here on the Forum and others that come in from all over the nation. Great to have you and hope to meet you down the line!

Welcome from Colorado. It sounds like you found the forum a little too late. A good PDI should have found this at delivery. You may want to download it and see if you have any other issues. Your dealer should have gone through all of the hookups, systems and controls with you at delivery. Your convenience center should be labeled fairly clearly. Best of luck with getting the leak repaired.

Got water problem solved. Had hose connected to black flush tank. Mike put extra clamps on hoses and seems to work fine no leaks. Thanks for all responses. I am sure we will have more.

Welcome from Arazona. We had the same leak in our 2010 rig. Asked the members here and they told me how to fix it. I have learned a whole lot from these people.

Welcome to MOC. If you have an outside shower in your convenience center, you might consider using a quick connect to hook it up to your black tank flush. Then as you dump you won't have to disconnect your city water to use the flush.

I have been trying to post a picture on my signature. I am getting very frustrated. How do you change to HTML when doing it. You can see pic but have to click on link. It should be easier. Help!
