Door for tv cabinet in bedroom

Has anyone made or bought a door to put on the cabinet in the bedroom that was originally designed for a TV? If so, please let me know how & what.

Incidentally, we took the drawers out of the cabinet in the kitchen at line them and I discovered the framing for the slides looked like a project from hell. Whoever built the framing must have been either drunk or totally stupid. You may want to check yours. I had to completely repair the framing.

We installed doors on our TV cabinet. We ordered the doors through our dealer. They matched what we had. We had to go to Home Depot to match the handles and hinges. It all worked out good for us.

There is previous discussion from a very recent post that Home Depot has a standard door that matches perfectly, stained and all. I also think they were able to get the hardware there to match to. Do a search on entertainment center in the last week and I think you will find the info you are looking for. Good luck

PS: Just found the other post. From Mallardjusted on his storage/TV cabinet access, look under additions and improvements
He has pics of his project.

I posted about doors from HD, but it was for access to the living room tv+ storage areas:

What size is the opening on you bedroom tv area? I suppose the different models have different sizes? On mine, HD wouldn't have one small enough (the tv opening is about 20" by 20" maybe???). You may have to get one through a dealer, have one custom built, or put a slightly bigger one on.

HD and Lowe's both can order to your specs. I'm sure there are some limitations. We installed doors but not in the TV area and had HD order them. We chose the color from a chart.

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!

Since your unit is brand new, your dealer can order doors from the factory with matching hardware. When we first got ours, we ordered a pair of doors and think it cost about $65. Don't think that the Amish boys drink too much, so that leaves stupid. Think that the real problem is that the employees are paid piece rate--the more they make in a day, the more they get paid, probably including those who should be doing quality inspections. They just don't care.
